Grace is from the second litter of my Thordis. And again, you can say: Always expect the unexpected. I had chosen Elmo for this litter. I've known Elmo for a long time, but I was never sure, because he was MDR1 -/-. But since I really liked him very much in terms of character, my choice was for him. He comes over the show line and has brought calm to my Thordis.
Thordis hurried up again at the birth, within 2.5 hours she gave birth to her puppies. Grace was born as the 4th puppy. The birth was uncomplicated.
Actually, it was not planned that a puppy should stay with us.
The inquiries and the first visitors came. But Grace showed no real interest in the visitors. At some point, the penny dropped for me. I said to my husband: She wants to stay!
I liked her very much in terms of her appearance and her character. So we decided that if the eye examination was ok, then she could stay.
And of course, she passed the exam!
I hadn't thought about a name yet. That's when I remembered Grace, named after the actress Grace Kelly.
So she stayed with us. We have not regretted this decision.
Grace is a very easy to handle and gentle. She has a really beautiful character. She has no problems with any dog or human.
She wants to please and just does everything so that she can be with me. I can take her anywhere, she doesn't have a problem with anything or anyone. She even grins a little.
Like her big sister Hedda, she is a lively dog and I am happy every day that she is with us. She was a great aunt to Hedda's puppies. Together with Hedda, she has taken over the education of the puppies. Together with her niece Lone, she comes up with all kinds of nonsense.
At the dog park we started to train rally and THS with her. In both sports, she shows a lot of will to please and is always happy to be there.
She also has a short tail. It wags full of verve when it is on the road with us.
Once again, it has been shown that often the unplanned things in life turn out to be a real treasure.
